Pink Christmas

Scrapkit - Rennies Winter from Pink Paradox Productions
(this was a FTU kit but the site is now closed so please use whatever you have)

open blank canvas 700 x 700
floodfill white



c/p paper 14
apply mask
merge group

frame 9, resize 30, rotate left 6, move up the canvas a little

el 60, resize 30, position top right corner, drag under frame
duplicate, mirror & flip and move just under bottom left corner of frame

el 61, resize 40, position top left corner, duplicate, mirror and flip
move to just under bottom right corner of frame

el 59, resize 30, rotate right 20, position along bottom of frame
duplicate, flip, rotate left 30, position along top of frame

make frame layer active
magic wand, feather 0, mode add
click inside the frame, expand by 3
now click on each of the element layers and hit delete
deselect
add dropshadow to all elements

hide white background and mask layers
merge visible
unhide white background and mask layers

magic wand, click inside the frame again, expand by 3
invert selection
c/p tube, resize as desired, position face in the selection
delete
deselect
duplicate, adjust blur, gaussian blur 8
change blend mode on original tube to hard light
change blend mode on blurred tube to screen
paste tube again, mirror, resize as desired (I resized 20)
and moved my tube just to the right of the frame
duplicate
gaussian blur 8, blend mode overlay

dropshadow as you go along

make a cluster across the bottom of your tube/tag with the elements
I duplicated the poinsettia and placed one behind the sleigh
add any other elements you wish

Make the horizontal rose layer active

c/p tube - resize 80 - erase any that is sticking out from behind the roses
duplicate - adjust blur - gaussian blur 8 - change blend mode to soft light

A Bird in the Hand

el 64 - resize 30 - position to the right of the frame but overlapping it a little
el 5 - resize 20 - mirror - position on top right of clock

paste tube again as top layer
resize to fit nicely to the right of your frame but not completely covering the elements
el 82, 83 & 84 - resize all 20 - position around the feet of the tube
el 9 - resize 30 - position in front of the flowers
el 110 - resize 30 - rotate right 90 - position along bottom of tag so the stem touches the bottom right corner of the cage
el 102 - resize 40 - position on top of tree
el 41 - resize 20 - position to right of cage, in front of stem
el 54 - resize 20 - position just in front of bottles
el 36 - resize 25 - position to right of bottles
el 30 - resize 20 - position in front of bottles and mannequin

element 56 resize 20, position below the grass a little. Butt up to the to the left edge of the arch
paste tube on top resize 40, position slightly to the right so you can see the 
castle a bit behind her head
element 70 resize 50, position at the bottom, go back and erase any of the dress 
that is showing under the grass

freehand selection tool, feather 13, draw a small selection along the bottom edge of the glass
bottle, hit delete twice, deselect.  
This softens the edge of the glass and makes it look like its "in" the grass

element 26 resize 22, position in between the glass bottle and the mushrooms
element 105 resize 50, position just above mask layer around the arch

Add any other elements you wish, rearrange your layers to suit

Christmas Stocking!

move paper layer up a little so you can see some
of the snow on the ground
on frame layer, magic wand, mode add, tolerance & feather 0
click inside the frame, expand by 3, invert
on paper layer, delete
deselect

hide frame layer
copy merged

open Animation shop
paste as new animation
duplicate frame until you have 30 frames

open snow animation
edit - select all
edit - copy

back to your canvas
edit - select all
edit - paste into selected frame

position so the snow is in the circle
and click once

Now it may get complicated so concentrate and stay with me here

on the snow animation
click on the first frame
hold down shift and click on the 10th frame
edit - cut
now click on the last frame (20)
edit - paste after current frame
edit - select all
edit - copy
back to your canvas
edit - paste into selected frame
position in the circle but slightly more to the left
click once

back to the snow animation
repeat above steps
until you paste onto your canvas, this time move it 
slightly to the right
click once

Now leave this canvas here, while we go back and finish our tag in psp
You can close the snow animation now, without saving

Now back to psp

unhide frame
c/p element 66 under frame, resize 15
image effects - offset - h 81, v-108, custom & transparent checked
duplicate and move across to the left side so the 
right hand edges match up to make a whole fence
merge down

c/p tube as new layer above frame
resize 70
image effects - offset - h-120, v0

selection tool - circle, feather 30
draw out a circle from the little fingernail
on the right hand out to the outer edge of the frame
invert
hit delete on tube layer 2 or 3 times
deselect

c/p element 57, resize 40, position at bottom of tube 
c/p element 52, resize 40, position to the right of the bucket
c/p element 63, resize 60, position on left, drag under the bucket layer
c/p elements 86, 87 & 99, resize 20,
position to your liking across the top to hide
any harsh straight edges of the tube still showing

make sure all your elements have a dropshadow and 
are positioned to your liking

add your name, copyright and license information

now hide the white background, mask & paper layer
copy merged

now back to AS
paste as new animation
duplicate until you have 30 frames
edit - select all
edit - copy

on your canvas that we left here earlier
edit - select all
edit - paste into selected frame
line it up so the inner edge of the frame
is lined up with the edge of the circle
click once

save as gif
