Hold 'em

Supplies needed:
Tube of choice - I am using the gorgeous artwork of Arthur Crowe

Font Las Vegas Jackpot HERE

Mask of choice
Filter: Eye Candy 4, Gradient Glow
Muras Meister, copies

d/s = dropshadow 2,5,50,8, black


OK lets begin!!



Open all supplies in PSP and minimize for now

Open blank canvas 800 x 800
floodfill white

c/p chips 
resize by 50
Muras Meister, copies, wallpaper rotate, default settings
duplicate, rotate, left 90
merge down
adjust blur, motion blur, angle 210, strength 100
repeat
apply mask
resize by 90

c/p joker, card back & Ace, resize all by 35
rotate each one left or right a little and position 
to the top right of tag

c/p skyline
resize by 22

c/p vegas sign
I used the blank sign so I could add my name to it
position to left of skyline

c/p card scatter 
position at bottom of tag
duplicate
resize by 50

c/p poker table
resize by 20
image, mirror
position so it just hides the bottom of your skyline

back to your duplicated scatter
drag up so its sitting on top of your table

c/p dice
resize by 20
position bottom right of poker table leg

c/p chips
resize by 20
position on left end of poker table

c/p tube
resize to fit
position to right of tag

c/p wordart
position bottom left of tag

Add name 
I used Las Vegas Jackpot font, size 48, black and used my deform tool 
to rotate and draw the top end out a bit to give some perspective on the sign
I also added a white gradient glow to mine
Add copyright info


delete white background layer
merge visible
crop and save as png

Open blank canvas 750 x 250

c/p tube as new layer
muras meister, copies 
wallpaper (rotate), number 9 all other settings default
adjust, blur, motion blur, angle 210, strength 100
repeat

Xero, Fritillary
granularity 18, aggression 46, tesselation 30, variation 100
duplicate layer twice

on 1st duplicate
selection tool, custom selection
left & top 0, right 150, bottom 250
selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard
selections, invert, keep selected.

on 2nd duplicate layer
selections, edit selection, 
image, mirror
edit selection,
invert, hit delete, 
invert, deselect

merge the two duplicated layers together
select all, float, defloat
adjust, blur, gaussian blur, 5

selections, modify, select selection borders, 
inside checked, 5
new raster layer
floodfill with a colour from your tube
deselect
add noise, gaussian, monochome, 50
apply white gradient glow

c/p tube
resize by 60, position inside left frame, 
duplicate, image, mirror
merge tube layers together and drag under frame

magic wand, click inside both frames
expand by 2, 
invert
on tube layer, hit delete on your keyboard
deselect

effects, texture effects, blinds
width 4, opacity 20, color black, horizontal checked

effects, penta.com, jeans, default settings
change blend mode to hard light (or whatever looks good on your tag)

c/p tube again
position in middle of tag
d/s
duplicate, gaussian blur 3
change blend mode to screen
duplicate and change blend mode to hard light

Add name 
I used FT Kolari, size 72, white
rotate left 90, convert to raster
select all, float, defloat, expand by 3
new raster layer, floodfill with color from tube
add noise
deselect, drag below name
apply white gradient glow
merge name layer down
duplicate, image, mirror, image flip

Add copyright information
merge all flatten
save as jpg.

To make avatar
custom selection tool
top & left 0, right & bottom 200
edit selection, move to a part of your tag you like
edit selection, copy merged

paste as new image
add name and cr info 
merge all, flatten
save as jpg

open blank canvas 800 x 800
floodfill white

c/p paper of choice - any of them work well
apply mask

c/p round frame
resize to fit nicely so your mask shows

c/p open book
position at bottom of frame

c/p lamp
position to right, drag under book

c/p poison bottle
position to right, just in front of lamp and under the book

c/p Book of Shadows wordart
position on top of book

c/p tube
drag below and resize to fit inside frame nicely
erase any parts showing outside of frame

Add your name
I used Jellyka Beesantique Handwriting in black
then added an eye candy 4, corona effect with the following settings

add copyright info

delete white background
merge visible
crop and save as png

 Lets Begin!!

open blank canvas 
800 x 800 
floodfill white 

 copy and paste tube as new layer 
 muras meister - copies 
wallpaper rotate default settings 
toadies - picassos last word 
width/height 17 all other settings default adjust, 
blur, motion blur angle 210, 
strength 100 
 apply mask 

eye candy 4000, 
Gradient Glow settings as follows


drop shadow 2/4/50/8 
 select all, float, de-float, 
invert
c/p close up tube 
move to the left, 
and hit delete deselect 
change blend mode to screen
repeat but this time mirror your tube 
merge the two tube layers down 

using your freehand selection tool 
feather 50 
draw across the bottom of the tube layers 
and down around the words on the mask layer 
hit delete twice this just makes the words show up a bit better 

Add some elements if you wish,
like flowers, bows etc 
personally I like it the way it is 

 Delete the white background layer 
crop away the excess 
Add your name and copyright info 
merge visible save as png 

Here is a 2nd version I done with a different mask
 This time I only used the tube once and used Ruritania font

This is an animated tutorial, if you do not wish to animate only follow to step 9


OK lets go!!

Note :  c/p = copy and paste as new layer

1. Open blank canvas 800 x 800
floodfill white

2. c/p ECP03 embroidered paper, resize by 22
adjust, brightness & contrast,
brightness - 100, contrast 30
apply mask, merge group, resize by 90

3. c/p chicken wire
resize by 70

4. c/p cluster frame, position in center of mask and wire

5. c/p ECP01 embroidered paper
drag below frame
selection tool, circle, feather 0
draw out a selection from the center almost to the outer edge of the frame
selections invert, hit delete on your keyboard
deselect

6. c/p flames
erase any parts showing outside of the frame
select all, float, defloat,
new raster layer,
floodfill with a fore/background gradient  using #d46f29 & #463b28
linear, repeats 0, angle 174
deselect,
drag below flame layer and change blend mode of flame to luminance legacy
dropshadow original flame layer
merge down the two flame layers

7. c/p tube, resize to fit, move down and to the right
select and delete the part showing under the frame at the bottom
(dont worry about the top)
deselect, duplicate and drag above frame
select and delete almost all of the tube so only the top is left
showing above the frame
dropshadow the bottom tube NOT the top one.

8. c/p wordart
drag to top of layer palette
position to top left of tag
d/s

9. Add your name and copyright information
Crop but do not merge

(if you would rather not animate then delete white b/g layer, merge visible and save as png)

10. Make your flame layer active
duplicate twice

11. On bottom flame layer apply eye candy 5 smoke with following settings

• on the settings tab choose, small, dust trail
then on the basic tab
wispy checked
smoke direction 101
column length 65.99
puff size 29.46
expansion 100
waver 82
roughness 76
overall opacity 70
start from bottom checked •

12. repeat on middle layer, but hit random seed once or twice

13. repeat on top layer, again hitting random seed a couple of times

14. Close off top two flame layers
copy merged
paste as new animation into Animation Shop

15. back to psp
close bottom layer, open middle layer
copy merged
paste after current frame in AS

16. back to psp
close middle layer, open top layer
copy merged
paste after current frame in AS

17. Select all frames,
animation, frame properties
change amount to 20

18. save as gif

Funny Revolver

open paper 3
c/p, apply mask
resize by 90

open paper 10
selection tool, circle
draw out a good sized circle
c/p as new layer on your tag
close paper 10

Select all, float, defloat, 
contract 25, hit delete on your keyboard
resize if needed to fit just inside your mask layer

c/p element 6
resize by 70
position bottom left of frame

c/p element 38
resize by 70
position bottom left, drag under hat

c/p element 32
resize by 40
position so its sticking out from under the hat
rotate, right 6

c/p element 16
resize by 60, repeat
position at the bottom between the corset and hat
rotate right 12

c/p element 39
resize by 80
position top left, drag under first set of gears

c/p tube just above frame layer
resize by 60

make frame active
magic wand, tolerance 0, feather 0 click inside frame
expand by 3
invert
erase the bottom parts of your tube that are showing below your frame

d/s all layers except mask
2,5,50,8,black

add your name and copyright info
delete white background
merge visible, crop and save as png

angle 47, strength 100
repeat twice 

c/p close up tube as new layer
position to the right hand side
Xero, Radiance, default settings
change blend mode to screen
Lower the opacity to around 55
duplicate, image mirror

c/p smaller tube as new layer again
d/s

Selection tool, custom selection
left 0, top 20, right 750, bottom 80
new raster layer
floodfill with a colour from your tag

Penta.com, dot & cross, default settings
deselect
change blend mode to screen
duplicate, image flip

Make the first dot & cross rectangle active
and drag this layer below your smaller tube

New raster layer, drag to top
select all, selections contract by 3
selections, invert
floodfill with same colour you used earlier
add noise, 83%
Deselect
change blend mode to dodge

Add name and copyright info

To make matching avatar

custom selection
top & left 0, bottom & right 200
selections, edit selection
using your move tool position selection where you would like it
selections, edit selection
copy merged

paste as new image
new raster layer
select all, contract by 3
invert,
floodfill with colour from earlier
add noise
deselect
change blend mode to dodge

On both banner and avatar, 
Add name and copyright info
merge all flatten
save as jpg
