Simple Christms Name

This tutorial was written by Mizteeque on 4th December 2014
written in psp9 but any version should work
Any resemblance to any other works is purely coincidental and unintentional

Supplies needed

A pretty Christmas element of your choice
A nice font - I used Andes in the 1st example
and Cartographer in the 2nd example
Filters used - Eye Candy 5 - Glass
Eye Candy 4 - Gradient Glow

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK lets begin!
Open blank canvas 800 x 800
copy and paste element as new layer
resize if necessary
duplicate element several times
hide the bottom one
and position the rest  on top of each other like so
Merge visible
Now add your name
Use a colour that compliments your element
make sure it is a vector so you can drag it out
using the nodes around the bounding box
so you will go from this
to this
convert to raster layer.
Select all, float, defloat, invert
make element layer active and hit delete
select none.
Drag your name below the element layer
merge down
At this point I used Eye Candy 5 - glass with the following settings
But if you dont have this filter you could use a nice inner bevel
I then added a white gradient glow using Eye Candy 4
If you dont have this filter
select all, float, defloat, expand by 3
new raster layer, floodfill white
deselect
drag white layer below name, merge the two layers together
drop shadow 2,5,50,8 black
Unhide your original element layer
position above your name where you think it looks nicest
add same dropshadow we just used
merge visible
crop and save as png.
Thats it your done!!
