Diamond


his tutorial was written by Mizteeque on 21st May 2019 and assumes a working knowledge of psp.
Any similarity to other works is unintentional and purely coincidental
Written in PSP9 other versions should work just as well


supplies needed:

Tube of choice - I am using the lovely artwork of Maxine Gadd
which I purchased from CDO but she is no longer selling there 
My Scrapkit - Diamond HERE
My Miz_Mask_292 HERE 
Hexagon pattern - click to open and save to your computer

Font of choice



Open blank canvas 700 x 700
floodfill white

paper 14 - apply mask - merge group
duplicate a couple of times and them merge them all together
resize by 90

frame 2 - resize 37 - position top left
duplicate, mirror - reposition so just the edges are overlapping
merge down

paper 11 - move down under frames 
on frames layer, magic wand - feather 0 - Mode (add) click inside both frames
expand by 4 - invert selection - on paper layer hit delete

paste your tube - resize to fit in the left frame - delete
deselect
duplicate the tube - mirror - merge down - blend mode overlay
duplicate again
paste the hexagon pattern - resize 12 - position over left tube - blend mode overlay
lower opacity to 58 - duplicate - mirror

hide white bg layer & mask layer - Merge visible - unhide layers

el 36 - resize 50 - position in middle of frames
el 17 - resize 30 - position bottom left - duplicate, mirror
el 12 - resize 30 - position bottom left so its cover the stems of the previous flower - duplicate - mirror
duplicate again - position behind frames in the middle
duplicate 4 more times and rotate/flip/mirror and position around the frames
el 15 - resize 25 - position bottom left between the flowers
el 24 - resize 40 - position in front of lantern
el 49 - resize 25 - position in front of flowers bottom left
el 7 - resize 20 - position bottom middle - duplicate several times and position to your liking
in amongst the other elements

copy and paste tube under elements but above merged frame layer
erase any that is showing under the elements
dropshadow

add name, copyright & license information
delete white bg layer
merge visible
crop and save as png

    1. Im not sure how else to explain it Wally! You need to close/hide the white background layer and mask layer in your layer palette, merge the remaining layers together, then open/unhide the hidden layers.
