Chasing Rainbows (animated)

Tube of choice, I am using a FTU tube from Zindy 

which you can download from her site HERE

NOTE:  This is an animated tutorial

open blank canvas 700 x 700

floodfill white

text tool - kaleidoscopic mind

size 400

color black

type an f

objects - align in center

convert to raster

select all, float, defloat

new raster layer

floodfill with rainbow pastel gradient

linear, angle and repeats 0

new raster layer

floodfill again but change angle to 25

repeat but change angle to 50

continue repeat increasing angle by 25 each time

until you get to angle 325 (you should end up with 13 gradient layers)

expand selection by 2

back on black layer

floodfill black again

deselect

dropshadow 0,0,40,13,black

copy and paste tube as new layer, bring to top

resize so it fits inside the circle

a misted or soft edged tube is best for this

change blend mode to luminance legacy

lower opacity a little if you think it needs it

c/p wordart as new layer

add your name, copyright and license information

ok now it gets interesting!

close all layers except white background, black outline, bottom gradient and tube

copy merged

open AS, paste as new animation

back in PSP

close bottom gradient

open next one up

copy merged

back to AS, paste after current frame

back to PSP

repeat until all the gradient layers have been copied over

crop and save as gif

open blank canvas 700 x 700

c/p parcel tag

resize 60

select all, float, defloat

c/p striped grunge as new layer

invert, delete

deselect

magic wand, click inside the little circle

on the top of the tag, 

expand by 15, delete

new raster layer

dropshaodow 2,2,50,4,black

deselect

select all, float, defloat

c/p liberty

position bottom left corner, so some of the base

is hanging over the edge, and the torch is just on

the edge of the tag

invert

delete

change blend mode to burn

c/p globe

resize 25, position so half of it is on the right of the tag

delete

deselect

c/p jute

position about 2/3 way down the tag

make sure some of your globe shows below it

erase the parts either side that are hanging over the edges

c/p grunge paper

position on top of jute

c/p string

position along bottom of grunge paper

duplicate, image flip

position on top of first piece of string so they kind 

of cross over, erase the parts hanging over

c/p star 

resize 35, position on globe

duplicate a couple of times and position to your liking elsewhere on the tag

dropshadow stars, globe, jute, grunge paper & strings

3,5,40,10,black

merge visible

select along the right hand side of the tag to erase the overhanging dropshadow

deselect

c/p optional wordart if you wish

c/p top ribbon, position so its in the hole at top of tag

c/p bottom ribbon, position behind tag

you may have to move the tag down the canvas to fit the ribbons on

merge visible

rotate left 33 (if you wish)

Add your name 

merge visible

crop and save as png

my gold texture (save from bottom of post)

adjust, blur, radial blur

twirl, strength 44, twirl degrees 40

elliptical, h & v offset 0, protect center 0

paste paper again

custom selection

top & left 25, bottom & right 225

invert, delete, invert

repeat radial blur

deselect

custom selection

left 25, top 75, right 225, bottom 175

effects, penta.com, vtr2 default settings

deselect

image, rotate left 90

repeat last custom selection

repeat vtr2

deselect

select all, float, defloat

new raster layer

expand selection by 2

floodfill with a gold texture of choice

contract selection by 3

delete

expand selection by 2

c/p tube as new layer

position to your liking within the selection

invert, delete

deselect

drag tube below gold frame

change blend mode to screen (or whatever suits your tag)

paste tube again, mirror

drag down so its under the vtr2 square

custom selection

left 0, top 75, right 650, bottom 175

promote selection to layer

delete on the previous tube layer

expand selection by 3

new raster layer above the promoted tube layer

floodfill with gold texture

contract by 2

delete

deselect

on promoted tube layer change blend mode to screen

apply same vtr2 effect as before

on original tube layer change blend mode to overlay

lower opacity to around 60

add a dropshadow to both gold frame layers

2,2,50,4,black

merge all

new raster layer

floodfill with gold texture

select all, contract by 2, delete

deselect

add name, copyright and license information

merge all

save as jpg

To make matching avatar

select round the gold square

copy, paste as new image

add name and copyright

merge all 

save as jpg
