Gothic Mask


This tutorial was written by Mizteeque on 18th 2014
written using psp 9 but any version should work
any resemblance to other works is purely coincidental

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice - I am using the artwork of Danny lee - Gothic Mask tube
which can be purchased from S&Co
Texture pack HERE
My supplies HERE
Font HERE
Mask HERE

OK lets begin!!
Note: C/P = copy and paste as new layer
d/s = dropshadow 2,5,50,8, black,



Open blank canvas
800 x 800, floodfill white

new raster layer
select all
open texture of choice, copy
paste into selection
deselect
apply mask
resize mask by 85
duplicate, image flip & mirror
merge down

c/p gothic frame

c/p ouija board
resize by 70
position at bottom of frame

c/p skeleton
image, mirror
resize by 70 x 2
position on top of ouija board

c/p cross
resize by 70 x 2
position to bottom left of frame
rotate left 30

c/p black candle
reszie by 60
position on top of cross

c/p blood vial
resize by 60
position so it looks like it is leaning on the candle

c/p bat
resize by 60
position top right of frame

make frame layer active
magic wand, click inside frame
expand by 5
c/p tube
position so face is showing
selections invert, delete
deselect

duplicate tube layer
adjust blur, gaussian blur, 6
change blend mode to burn

d/s all layers except mask and skeleton

add your name and copyright information
delete white background
merge visible
crop and save as png

Without Music

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I am using the beautiful artwork of Jennifer Janesko
I purchased mine from CILM when it was open but you can now purchase
Jennifers tubes from CDO
My Supplies HERE
Font of choice  - I used Inspiration which is a pay font

open blank canvas 800 x 800
floodfill white

c/p quirky collage paper
resize by 50
apply mask
resize by 80

c/p element notes
resize by 50
position at bottom of tag
d/s

c/p element pianoframe
resize by 30
position on top of notes
d/s

c/p element corner
resize by 30
image, mirror
position on top left corner of frame
d/s

c/p violin
resize by 30
rotate left slightly
position to left, just covering the frame a little
d/s

c/p bow
resize by 30
position across the violin
d/s

c/p single rose
resize by 50
drag below frame layer
position bottom right, just sticking out from behind the frame
duplicate and rotate left slightly, move up a bit
duplicate again, image, mirror and position so it sticks out from
behind the violin
duplicate once more, image flip, position at bottom of violin
d/s all roses

c/p music wordart
resize by 40
position at top of tag
apply a white gradient glow following settings

d/s

make mask layer active
c/p tube as new layer
if using the same tube as me, resize by 80
move to the right slightly and erase any bits sticking out 
from behind the frame
d/s

delete white b/g layer
Add name and copyright information
merge visible
crop and save as png
