VM Distortions

Open blank canvas 700 x 250

c/p tube as new layer

effects - muras meister, copies - wallpaper rotate default settings

adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 10

effects - VM distortion - slicer - slices 25, gap 2 RPM 13, BPM 42, Trans 56, Mode 111

if the circles are not centered, cut the layer
then paste as new layer to center it.

duplicate - add noise - 20, gaussian, monochrome
change blend mode to overlay and lower opacity to around 75

c/p tube
duplicate 4 times
1st copy - resize 60, mirror, position bottom left corner
2nd copy - resize 45, position between copy 1 and main tube
3rd copy - resize 30, position bottom right corner
4th copy - resize 60, mirror, position between main tube and copy 3

merge all 4 copies together, change blend mode to burn

Move main tube to top of layer palette

new raster layer

floodfill with a color from your tag
select all, contract 2, delete
deselect

add name, license and copyright information
merge all
save as jpg

Vintage Valentine

c/p television, move down a little so the screen
is in the center of your canvas

freehand selection tool, feather 1, select round the 
screen of the television

c/p tube, resize to fit nicely inside the screen
invert selection, delete
change blend mode to luminance legacy

c/p grain 1, resize 30, position to your liking within the selection
delete
repeat but move to a slightly different position
c/p grain 2, resize 30, position to your liking within the selection
delete
deselect

change blend mode to dodge on all three grain layers
and lower opacity to 66
make sure grain 2 layer is active
layers - arrange - move down

hide the top 2 grain layers
copy merged 

open Animation Shop
paste as new animation

back in psp
hide bottom grain layer
unhide middle grain layer

in AS paste after current frame

back in psp
hide middle grain layer
copy merged

in AS paste after current frame
repeat twice more

back in psp
unhide top grain layer
copy merged

in AS paste after current frame

OK now we have our animation ready, go back to psp and lets build the rest of the tag

hide all layers on our canvas except the bottom one
floodfill with #d5be92

c/p film as new layer
duplicate, rotate, mirror, flip several times to cover the canvas
merge visible

using a small pixel font, type out "TV CHEWING GUM FOR THE EYES" several times 
until it reaches right across your canvas
convert to raster
position approx 1 cm up from the bottom edge
change blend mode to dodge
duplicate and position approx 1cm down from the top edge

Add name, license and copyright information

copy merged

in AS paste as new animation, duplicate until you have 6 frames
make the TV canvas active, ctrl & A to select all frames, copy
on FILM canvas, ctrl & A, paste into selected frames, 
position the TV to your liking and click once

save as gif

paste the hexagon pattern - resize 12 - position over left tube - blend mode overlay

lower opacity to 58 - duplicate - mirror

hide white bg layer & mask layer - Merge visible - unhide layers

el 36 - resize 50 - position in middle of frames

el 17 - resize 30 - position bottom left - duplicate, mirror

el 12 - resize 30 - position bottom left so its cover the stems of the previous flower - duplicate - mirror

duplicate again - position behind frames in the middle

duplicate 4 more times and rotate/flip/mirror and position around the frames

el 15 - resize 25 - position bottom left between the flowers

el 24 - resize 40 - position in front of lantern

el 49 - resize 25 - position in front of flowers bottom left

el 7 - resize 20 - position bottom middle - duplicate several times and position to your liking

in amongst the other elements

copy and paste tube under elements but above merged frame layer

erase any that is showing under the elements

floodfill white

preset shapes tool

rectangle

background a paper of choice

foreground null

hold down the shift key while drawing out a 

largeish square in the middle of your canvas

objects, align, center in canvas

convert to raster

effects, image effects, offset

horizontal - 60, vertical 0, custom & transparent checked

change b/g to different paper 

draw out a rectangle right across the middle

of the square and out either side

center in canvas

convert to raster

drag below square

duplicate

change b/g to a 3rd paper or a matching color/gradient

hold shift key, draw out a small square

convert to raster

drag to top of layer palette

duplicate twice

position down the right side of the square

rotate top one right 5

rotate middle one left 6

rotate bottom one right 8

now on each square do the following

select all, float, defloat

expand by 5

new raster layer

floodfill white

contract by 8

select none

add noise, 50% gaussian, monochrome

Now remember that duplicated skinny rectangle

make it active, rotate left 90

select half of the rectangle and delete

position behind the small squares

now copy and paste your tube just above the large square

resize as necessary, erase any that is overlapping the 

bottom of the square

now back to the small squares

on each one do the following 

select all, float, defloat

paste tube, position to your liking

invert selection

delete

add any effects you wish to the 3 tube layers

I added Kohans autointerlace to 2 of mine 

and penta.com, jeans to the 3rd

and I changed the blend mode of all 3 to luminance

Add a white gradient glow to the large square,

and both long rectangles

Add any elements you wish from your chosen scrapkit

dont forget your dropshadow
