Christmas Stocking!

Supplies needed:

Tube of choice - a leggy tube wearing stockings is best for this tut

open blank canvas 700 x 700

floodfill white

c/p paper 18

apply mask

merge group

c/p paper 39

resize 50

c/p frame 6

resize 50

move paper layer up a little so you can see some

of the snow on the ground

on frame layer, magic wand, mode add, tolerance & feather 0

click inside the frame, expand by 3, invert

on paper layer, delete

deselect

hide frame layer

copy merged

open Animation shop

paste as new animation

duplicate frame until you have 30 frames

open snow animation

edit - select all

edit - copy

back to your canvas

edit - select all

edit - paste into selected frame

position so the snow is in the circle

and click once

Now it may get complicated so concentrate and stay with me here

on the snow animation

click on the first frame

hold down shift and click on the 10th frame

edit - cut

now click on the last frame (20)

edit - paste after current frame

edit - select all

edit - copy

back to your canvas

edit - paste into selected frame

position in the circle but slightly more to the left

click once

back to the snow animation

repeat above steps

until you paste onto your canvas, this time move it 

slightly to the right

click once

Now leave this canvas here, while we go back and finish our tag in psp

You can close the snow animation now, without saving

Now back to psp

unhide frame

c/p element 66 under frame, resize 15

image effects - offset - h 81, v-108, custom & transparent checked

duplicate and move across to the left side so the 

right hand edges match up to make a whole fence

merge down

c/p tube as new layer above frame

resize 70

image effects - offset - h-120, v0

selection tool - circle, feather 30

draw out a circle from the little fingernail

on the right hand out to the outer edge of the frame

invert

hit delete on tube layer 2 or 3 times

deselect

c/p element 57, resize 40, position at bottom of tube 

c/p element 52, resize 40, position to the right of the bucket

c/p element 63, resize 60, position on left, drag under the bucket layer

c/p elements 86, 87 & 99, resize 20,

position to your liking across the top to hide

any harsh straight edges of the tube still showing

c/p word art

make sure all your elements have a dropshadow and 

are positioned to your liking

add your name, copyright and license information

now hide the white background, mask & paper layer

copy merged

now back to AS

paste as new animation

duplicate until you have 30 frames

edit - select all

edit - copy

on your canvas that we left here earlier

edit - select all

edit - paste into selected frame

line it up so the inner edge of the frame

is lined up with the edge of the circle

click once

save as gif

open blank canvas 700 x 250

copy and paste tube as new layer

duplicate several times and position 

all over your canvas so there are no gaps

merge visible

adjust - blur - motion blur

angle 61, strength 100

repeat 

duplicate layer

selection tool - rectangle, feather 0

draw out a rectangular selection from top to bottom

anywhere on your tag,

invert

delete

deselect

Image, mirror

change blend mode to burn (or whatever suits your tag)

copy and paste tube as new layer

move to one side of your tag (let or right, its your choice)

dropshadow 2,5,50,8,black

duplicate tube

image mirror

change blend mode to screen

lower opacity to around 75

(With the tube I used, I copied the dragon arm tattoo

and pasted as a new layer, then positioned it in the

bottom left corner of my tag)

Now move the "burn" rectangle layer to the top

of your layer palette

duplicate

image, rotate, left 90

use your deformation tool to squash it down so its thinner

and drag it out from one side so its longer

Position the vertical rectangle halfway across your tube

position the horizontal rectangle across your tube about 3/4

of the way down it, going off the edge of your tag

but not right to the bottom of the tag, leave enough room for borders

new raster layer

floodfill with color of choice

select all, contract by 6

delete

expand by 2

invert

floodfill black

invert

expand by 2

invert floodfill with 1st color again

deselect

Add name

Great Victorian Swashes, size 72

light color from your tag

type out your name

convert to raster

Add a nice inner bevel

Add a gradient glow, use the fat setting but 

change the colour from white to a lighter shade 

of the same color you used for the name

glow width 3

opacity 75

dropshadow

Change font to Distant Stroke, size 48

color black

type out your name again

add the same gradient glow as before

opacity 100

dropshadow

position this name on top of the first one

Add copyright and license information

merge all, flatten

save as jpg

Movie Star

Note: c/p = copy and paste as new layer

d/s = dropshadow 2,5,50,9, black

1.Open blank canvas 800 x 800

floodfill white

2. c/p paper 1

apply mask

merge group

3. c/p element 27 - movie reel

resize by 36

position at bottom left corner of mask

4. c/p element 20 - clipboard

resize by 36

using deform tool, rotate a little to the left

d/s

position top right

duplicate, resize by70, rotate right a little

5. make mask layer active, 

c/p element 14 - film strip

image, rotate, right 52

6. magic wand

tolerance 10, feather 0, mode add

Click inside each of the frames, expand by 2
new raster layer, floodfill white
Lower opacity to 64
drag white layer below filmstrip, deselect

7. magic wand inside the top frame of the filmstrip

expand selection by 2

c/p tube so face is showing

selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard

deselect

8. repeat but select the middle frame of the filmstrip

and position a different part of your tube to show

and repeat again for the bottom frame of filmstrip.

9. merge all 3 tube layers together and

drag below filmstrip

lower opacity to 64

10. c/p tube above filmstrip again and position

to the left. Mirror if you need to.  

Drag Movie Reel to top of layer palette

11. open wordart

select round the Movie Star part

copy and paste as new layer

position at the bottom of the tag

apply white gradient glow 

12. Make filmstrip layer active

apply gradient glow with same settings

13.  add name and copyright information

delete white bg layer

merge visible

crop and save as png.
